Aluminium French Doors are often installed as an alternative to Bifold Doors or Sliding Doors where space is a little limited or where the style of a property dictates.
French Doors are often fitted in apartments with a balcony to form a Juliet balcony or in a master bedroom in place of a window, as they offer plenty of natural ventilation and uninterrupted views of the garden and beyond. In these instances, the doors would usually open inwards. With a door height of 2.5 metres possible, there is a fabulous opportunity to create a focal point in your room.
Every set of French or Double Doors we install is made to measure with a wide choice of powder coated colour options to perfectly suit your home. We offer a wide choice of powder coated colours in a Matt, Gloss or Textured finish, including the option of a dual colour if that is your preference. A popular colour currently is Anthracite Grey outside, with a White or Grey finish inside.

Customisable to suit your needs
Aluminium French Doors look fantastic in both modern and traditional properties and can open inwards into your home or outwards into your garden. Each set of double doors can be made up to 2.4 metres wide and 2.5 metres high. You can decide which of the doors will be the master door, with a lever handle to operate the high security multi-point lock and which will be the slave door opened by means of a shoot bolt at the top of the door.
If you would prefer your floor level on the inside of your home to be at a similar level to your patio outside, we can supply French doors with a low threshold for ease of access between your home and garden.
Please bear in mind though, that our low threshold is not weather tested, so our fully weathered standard threshold might be more suitable, depending on whether your home is in a sheltered position.
Energy efficient with enhanced thermal performance
The doors have a polyamide thermal break which enhances the thermal performance of the Aluminium profile and help to keep your home warm. The Aluminium French Doors are energy efficient and achieve a U Value of 1.5 W/m²K when they are double glazed with argon filled toughened glass.
If you are looking for a door to use as a back door or an external door into your Utility room, we can install a fully glazed single door with the same wide choice of colours, high security multi point locking system and threshold options as with the French Door. Double glazed glass can either be clear or obscured for privacy.
Low maintenance
To ensure your Aluminium French Doors and Single Doors continue to look good and perform well for many years, all that is needed is to occasionally wipe the doors and threshold with soapy water to keep them free from grit and debris.
